About Alexander Brown

Alex Brown is a lifelong San Diego native committed to stepping up as the city’s next Mayor. Raised in Tierrasanta and educated at Canyon Hills School, formerly Serra High, Alex joined the Navy after high school and devoted the Navy 23 years to defending our nation as an enlisted fire controlman. He went on to receive his Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree from the University of Charleston West Virginia and became a commissioned officer. Now, Alex is eager to redirect his sense of duty toward his hometown.

Alex’s top priority is to tackling homelessness. Too many of our fellow San Diegans have been left on the streets by years of municipal mismanagement. Bad policies have increased tension between the houses  and unhoused culminating in crime, drug abuse and addiction, and urban decay.

#BelieveInBrown isn’t just his campaign slogan, it’s a belief that the city can and will be better, a hope that San Diego’s best days lie ahead, and, of course, a steadfast love for the Padres. Alex is committed to transcending partisan boundaries and delivering common sense solutions for his community.
